I started my teaching career in a multi-age primary school in Prince George's County. In 1999, I transferred to Gorman Crossing Elementary and taught 2nd grade. I became very interested in the Reading Recovery program, a program designed for first graders who are struggling with reading. In 2000, I transferred to Elkridge Elementary where I taught Reading Recovery and first grade. After 3 years at Elkridge Elementary, I transferred to Running Brook Elementary to teach Reading Recovery and to co-teach as a Title I Teacher. I have been on child-rearing leave from HCPSS since 2004. During that time I have been tutoring and as of 2011, I have been doing various projects for the Office of Academic Intervention.
