My name is Mr. Schaner and I grew up in Muskegon, MI. I went to Mona Shores High School and graduated in 2002. I attended 2 years at Muskegon Community College before earning my B.A. of education in 2007 with a math major and history minor from Western Michigan University. I have taught Algebra I for 2 years at Benton Harbor Area Schools and am currently in my first year at Gerald R. Ford Middle School and 2nd year within the district.

During my free time, I spend a lot of my time playing with my two kids. They like it when I read them stories. I love going to the beach in the summer and some of my hobbies are: running, cycling, swimming (I run races and triathlons), weight training, computer games, camping, piano. I am also an eagle scout.
