About Ms. Jessica Howard

Jessica Howard is the powerhouse coach and consultant behind DC American Cultural Immersion. Jessica began her consulting and coaching career as an ESOL specialist, but soon recognized that her clients wanted more than just improved English skills—they wanted to fit in with American culture. DC American Cultural Immersion was born.

Years of world traveling, overseas studies, research and, most importantly, daily interaction with people from all walks of life from around the globe have made Jessica an expert in cross-cultural communication. Howard received a B.A. in Psychology from George Washington University, and will receive a Masters of Science (M.S.) in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in May 2013. She attended Barcelona’s Institute of European Studies for its Advanced Spanish Studies and Immersion Program, and received cultural awareness training in Italy, Spain and Costa Rica. Her psychology and ESOL background combined with a natural understanding of the nuances of cultural communication help Howard easily connect with her clients. From the proper American English accent and business wardrobe to the basics of American pop culture. Howard has every base of American culture covered. "At the end of the day, it’s all about boosting my clients’ self-confidence," Howard says. "Through our sessions, they truly transform. It’s exhilarating. I can’t imagine doing anything else."

If you need help reducing your accent, making American friends and joining the right clubs and organizations, contact DCACI today at 202-629-1024 or email Jessica at jessica@dcaci.com!
