I received my MFA in creative writing at the University of Mississippi, where I taught Composition, Creative Writing, and Literature. From 2008-2010, I worked at the American University of Iraq-Sulaimani. At AUIS, I taught English as a Second Language and undergraduate Composition. I also served as Deputy Director of the Academic Preparation Program and as the university's first women's basketball coach.

Since the fall of 2011, I've been with StudySync where I work with teachers all over the country to ensure that they get the most out of our award-winning online reading, writing, and critical thinking program.
