I have always had a love for business and technology dating back to my own high school days. I was a business student who was very active in FBLA and loved everything about business. I actually still occasionally communicate with my favorite high school business teacher to this day (on Facebook)!

I went off to college and majored in business while working to help manage the computer labs at my school. After graduating, I got a job with a medical products firm -- but I realized very quickly that I was in the wrong area of business. I loved pretty much all aspects of it, but I wanted to HELP OTHERS realize the way business and technology work together. (Plus, I hated sitting at a desk eight hours a day!)

So I took a brave step, left my first job out of college, and went back for a Masters degree in Business Education. Shortly after that, I was hired by the best school ever -- Hoover High -- and the rest is history.

This is my seventh year teaching business, and I fall in love over and over again with what I do. I'm absolutely where I'm supposed to be.
