Colleen Canale has held corporate sales and marketing leadership roles, and formed and managed her own companies. Over the course of her career, she has hired, trained and led dozens of talented people to professional success. She spent 11 years in sales and marketing with Avery Dennison, a manufacturer of adhesive and office products. Hired into Avery directly from school, she began her career as an industrial product manager. During these years, she also traveled internationally for Avery, managing the division’s largest account, Kimberly-Clark. She later accepted an assignment as a Regional Sales Manager. She is an accomplished entrepreneur and has owned her own companies for the last 13 years. Her most recent venture was a commercial real estate training and agent support firm formed with a real estate developer and CPA in Scottsdale, AZ. In addition to her work at Midway College, Colleen works in marketing technology assignments for local companies and digital marketing agencies. She has a special interest in the role of technology in augmenting and streamlining business processes, and has designed and built web-based learning, document distribution and lead management systems using off-the-shelf web-based tools. Colleen is an MBA graduate majoring in Marketing and Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (now known as the Booth School of Business), and a liberal arts graduate of the University of Illinois. Colleen has been married for 29 years, and has a daughter entering her sophomore year in college. She is a horse owner, and lives on a small farm in southeastern Lexington.
