I am a graduate student at the University of Central Oklahoma. I graduated with my B.A. in History Education in May of 2012. My Master's will be in History General and my emphasis and thesis is on the Cherokee/Chickasaw response to federal Indian policies from 1800-1955. My research centers around the Vann family. I plan on finishing my classes during the summer of 2013 and defend sometime in the fall of 2013. I hope to teach high school history beginning in the fall of 2013 and enter into a Ph.D. program to continue my research in Native American history.
