Greetings,
My name is Katherine Kidd and I have been teaching for 21 years. I am the site coordinator for the 21st Century learning grant for our middle school students. I am also a resource teacher for gifted/talented students at Wayne County Middle School . I have an associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and worked in the medical field about five years before becoming a teacher. I went back to school and earned my bachelor's degree in middle school education. My area of emphasis was English/Language Arts/ Communication and Science. My master's degree is in middle grades education. I have a Rank I with a level I and a level II certification in Curriculum Supervision. I have attended Somerset Community College, University of the Cumberlands, Eastern Kentucky University and Union College.
I enjoy traveling with my son Nicholas and my husband Douglas. Our favorite beach spot is the Outer Banks of North Carolina known as Cape Hatteras. I like many types of music, reading, the theatre, and being outdoors.
I love middle school kids...they keep me young!
