About Mrs. Cynthia Campbell
I was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC. I attended Cumberland Mills Elementary, Hope Mills Jr. High, and South View Senior High schools. I graduated from South View High School in 1979. Mrs. Mona Pickett Knowles was my chorus teacher and greatly influenced me in my decision to become a chorus teacher. I received my Bachelor;s degree from Campbell University (no relation) in 1983. My first teaching job was in elementary music, teaching at Eastover-Central, Cumberland Road, and Stedman Elementary schools. Due to my husband's military service, I moved to northeast Alabama from 1986 to 1990 where I taught at the elementary, middle and high school levels in the Gadsden City School system. I earned my Masters degree at Jacksonville State University in AL in 1990. We relocated back to Fayetteville in 1990 and I taught at South View Junior High/Middle School for 11 years. I began teaching at Gray's Creek Middle School in the fall of 2002. I love teaching chorus---especially at Gray's Creek!
