I started my teaching career in 1992 after graduating from Winthrop University with a BS in Education. My first teaching years were spent at Robert Smalls Middle School where I was extremely fortunate to work with the first laptop program and my love of technology was fostered. Later, I earned my Masters of Education in Technology at Cambridge College in Boston, Massachusetts then I earned another Masters in Gifted and Talented Education. I have taught in sixth grade, a third and fourth grade, and taught grades Pre K through fifth in the Computer Lab. The last several years I was the Instructional Technology Coach for Coosa and Port Royal Elementary Schools. This year I am really excited about returning to a third grade classroom and am looking forward to helping all my students learn through technology. I am also involved with a wonderful group of teachers that are teaching Legos in an afterschool program and our week long camps, I do not know who enjoys them more, the students or us!
