Most of the classes I teach are Response to Intervention (Mathematics) for seventh and eighth grade. Response to Intervention is designed for students who are at risk of academic failure because they lack basic skills to succeed in their grade-level mathematics course. Such individualized skill sets are addressed on an individual student basis. Thus, filling in "wholes" unique to the individual student so the student is capable of succeeding in their course work. Response to Intervention is not a course where students receive "extra help" on their math assignments.
