My name is Kelly Nott. This is my 11th year of teaching and have taught 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade English, and special ed resource. I currently teach 7th grade English . I am married to my best friend and fellow educator, Dane Nott (who teaches math/algebra) and we have 4 children (one daughter, Jessica 23; 3 sons, Tyler 19, Jayson 14 and Trevor 12). We also have a couple of mini-dachshunds...that are like children to us.

I became a teacher late in life...to give back to the community and make a difference. Why? Well, many teachers throughout my life helped inspire, guide, and provide me with a life of choices. I am forever thankful that they made an effort to reach out and touch my life.

If I am able to inspire one child, guide one child, provide a child with choices he/she wouldn't have otherwise had, and make a difference in our community...I feel that I have fulfilled my purpose.
