I teach to provide my students an opportunity for learning, as well as, an opportunity for me to continue gaining valuable knowledge. My objective is to prepare my students for the "real world," by giving them the tools they will need to be productive and successful in many aspects of their lives. I teach English/Language Arts to a great bunch of students. They work hard constantly pulling from their background knowledge, asking relevant questions, writing their responses, and setting both short and long term goals for themselves.
