I've been teaching seventh grade History and English for the past 8 years in the Ross Valley School District. I integrate the two subjects with students, emphasizing writing. We study Medieval Europe, Islam, West African Kingdoms, Imperial China, Medieval Japan and the Renaissance, and I couldn't ask for richer content! My overarching goal with my students is to embrace the belief that Everyone has something important to say and it's worth the time to say it as you mean it!

I have an amazingly supportive family which consists of my musically-gifted, bibliophile husband and my two wonderful sons who are the kindest teens I know. We also have an adventurous cat named Acorn.

I've traveled a great deal and enjoy bringing that experience into the classroom. I also love walking the trails in our neighborhood, reading, watching movies, yoga, cooking and devouring all the latest news in educational technology.
