About Mr. William Pulgarin
My teaching career began at Carnegie Middle School in Carson, California in 2003. While teaching at Carnegie, I decided to continue my educational pursuits, and enrolled in the Master of Art's program in Curriculum Development and Instruction from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). I completed the program in 2007 with a perfect 4.0 GPA (this was one of my goals)! After graduating from CSULB, and after teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade history for four years at Carnegie, I moved to Medellin, Colombia in 2007. I taught at a private American school in Envigado, Colombia named The Columbus School. After teaching in Colombia for five years, I decided to come back to Los Angeles to teach at Bright Star Secondary Charter Academy (BSSCA). This is my tenth year as a classroom teacher and my first year at BSSCA!
I am very excited about working at BSSCA because of the wonderful staff, parents, and students at the school! I am very passionate about education and I love what I do!
