Mr. Puchein was originally from Cleveland, Ohio and attended high school locally at Bishop Moore High School. He graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor in Social Studies Education (6-12).



Mr. Puchein enters his 17th year of teaching, previously working at Gotha Middle School before becoming an original faculty member at Olympia. He has been a recipient of multiple National Endowment for the Humanities awards and nominated multiple times to "Who's Who Among American Teachers". In 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 he was selected to score exams at the AP Human Geography Reading.



During the 2011-2012 school year, Mr. Puchein looks forward to teaching both APEX AP Human Geography and American History. Entering his 16th year coaching basketball, he will be the assisting Boys Basketball at Ocoee High School as the head J.V. coach.
