I teach 6th grade reading to 100+ students. I am a member of the NYSRA (New York State Reading Association's Charlotte Award Committee and the 2014 Charlotte Award Committee. As a member of these two committees, there are 10 members statewide, I am charged with reading and reviewing books that are sent by publishers all over the US and even abroad that they would like considered for this award.
