My name is Jane Bruce. I teach Business Technology Applications Creative Media and IT 2. I graduated from Auburn University in 2000 with a double major in Accounting and Finance. I went to work in the accounting field for a couple of years. I graduated in 2005 with a Masters of Education with a concentration in Business Education. I taught Finance one term at the collegiate level. I began teaching high school in Carroll County, GA in 2005. I have taught a variety of courses: Accounting 1, Accounting 2, Business Law, Business Essentials, C++, Computer Applications, Digital Media, Multimedia, and Web Design. I enjoy teaching students of all ages. I have really enjoyed getting a variety of experiences from being at different schools and in different states. I am from the Birmingham area, and I am glad to finally be home. I have three daughters ages 17, 10, and 5, and three stepchildren ages 15, 12, and 8. They keep me busy outside of school. Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a premier leadership student organization which prepares students for careers in business and business-related fields. I am the lead advisor of the FBLA at Hoover High School. Dues are $20.00 per student. A parent letter will go home with your student along with an attached flyer within the first week of the students being in my class. We will meet throughout the year to expose the students to business meetings along with communicating upcoming FBLA events.
