About Ms. Stephanie Weltz
Introduction: My name is Stephanie Weltz, and I grew-up in Walterboro, South Carolina. I moved to Beaufort in 2007. I have been teaching at Battery Creek High School since the fall of 2007.
Education: I graduated with a BA in Spanish (cum laude), then completed a MS Degree in
Education specializing in Curriculum and Instruction. In 2010, I won the Teacher of Honor Award from Kappa Delta Pi.
Classes taught at Battery Creek High School: I have taught Spanish 1, 2, 3 Honors, 4 Honors, International Baccalaureate standard and higher level, and International Baccalaureate Ab initio Spanish. This coming year, I will be teaching Spanish 3 Honors, Spanish 4 Honors, Creative Writing, Mythology, and Speech. I serve on the Curriculum Alignment and Leadership Team, in which I help write the curriculum for the Spanish courses offered in the Beaufort County School District. I am a 4 year presenter at the Summer Institute, a continuing education program for teachers within our district.
Hobbies: I am the Varsity Volleyball coach at Battery Creek, as well as a Student Government sponsor. I enjoy reading, and learning new things, especially when it comes to integrating technology into my classroom.
