About Mrs. Joanna Miles

Here's a little bit about me.
My name is Mrs. Miles. I'm an ESL teacher at the John E. Dwyer Technology in Elizabeth. I have taught ESL in Elizabeth at the high school, elementary, and college level.
After living in England for most of my life, I moved to America in 2002 and started teaching ESL. I completed my Masters in Instruction and Curriculum in ESL from Kean University in Union, NJ.

Why teaching? Teaching is challenging, fun, and every day is different. I get to work with lots of different young people; create learning opportunities for them and assist them as they progress and grow on their educational journey.

My academic goals: In the next 5-10 years, I would like to become bilingual (fluent in a second language) and complete Math courses towards a math degree.
