I've been teaching for 38 years, and coaching debate/forensics for 33. I started my teaching career at Highland Park JHS in the fall of 1973. I taught at Capper JHS, Boswell JHS, Highland Park HS, and finally Topeka High. I am certified in speech, theatre, and rhetoric, (9-12), with a minor in English, with being endorsed grades 7-9.

I have developed curriculum for speech, advanced speech, debate, forensics several times for USD 501. I am currently serving on the district Curriculum and Assessment team for Language Arts.

My classes are varied over the years: Speech, novice and advanced debate, forensics, non-competitive debate, non-competitive forensics, Pre AP 9 English, acting, Honors Humanities 1 and 2.
