About Ms. Charmaine Smith
I am an Instructional Technology Training Specialist for Clayton County Public Schools. I credit my love for technology in the classroom to a former colleague. Since that moment, I have been sharing my love for instructional technology with students and fellow teachers. My latest passion and focus has been on iPods and QR Codes in the classroom. I have been empowering other educators by way of workshops, professional development classes, training sessions and local conferences.
I have been a teacher for 13 years and spent the first five years with Chicago Public Schools. The past seven years with Clayton County Public Schools I have been both a classroom teacher and served as the technology support contact for her school. I am a proud graduate of Tuskegee University where I majored in Elementary Education. Shortly after graduating I discovered that my true passion was in teaching others how to use technology as a motivating and engaging tool for students. I then decided to return to school to pursue a Master’s degree in Technology in Education from Lesely University.
