I have a passion for teaching and I'm excited to work with students both in my yearbook classroom and my English classroom as well. I have a love for reading and writing, which is what drew me to journalism in the first place! When I stayed with my grandmother during the summer we'd walk up to the small town library everyday. Some of my early favorites were The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Three Billy Goats Gruff. I remember my first chapter book was 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (the children's classics edition of course). I hope to encourage my students to love reading as much as I do, not only for academic purposes but also for the pleasure of escaping into another world.
