2011-2012

This is my 16th year as a High School Language Arts Teacher. I just completed my
Reading Endorsement, which also qualifies me as a Reading Teacher. I've taught grades 9-12, predominantly 9th. I was privileged to open University High last year, so I begin my second year at UHS, my 12th year in Volusia County.

I am graduate of Rollins College, Winter Park, Fl, have two children and a step-daughter. In my spare time I enjoy reading, some writing and photography. I also enjoy dancing with my husband, my children and gathering with friends from work and church.

Teaching is a privilege, a joy, and always evolving. It challenges me to not only step-outside my comfort zone, but to excel there. I hope to model for my students what it means to work hard for something you value, but to enjoy the process as much as possible as well.
