Mrs. Karliak has been with the Fairview Park City School since January of 1991, first as a General Music teacher at Parkview Intermediate School (gr. 4-6) and as Choral Director for the district since August 2003. Fairview High School offers Chorale, which is a mixed choir open to all students and the Scarlet Singers, a select ensemble which performs primarily show choir pieces as well as some chamber music. Lewis F. Mayer Middle School offers 7th Grade Choir which is a beginning choir and Concert Choir. Concert Choir is open to all 8th grade students interested in choir and selected 7th gr. students. Both middle school choirs are mixed ensembles. Gilles-Sweet Elementary offers choir to students in grades 4 through 6.

Mrs. Karliak earned her Bachelor's of Science in Music Education from Bowling Green State University and has a Master's of Education in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University. She lives in Fairview Park, OH with her husband and five children.
