Science and Social Studies are my life. When I am not teaching I am doing something with the Fam. I am always looking to learn a new story about history or a new discovery something new in Science. I like to travel from coast to coast and see as much of this world as I can before it gets dark- from John Muir.

2008-2009
I jumped head first into technology and help lead fresh and innovative ideas on how to better use mobile devices in the classroom at the time it seemed ground breaking and maybe it was. I won some awards, wrote some lessons, had a radio interview, someone made a documentary about what we had done. Bottom line as I leaned that technology is here to stay and a large part of the lives of our school children today. I also learned it does not solve all the problems. Students must still know how to operate when the "lights go out” They also need to know proper ways to interact with others and need to get outside.
