Welcome to MSI and College Readiness

My name is Colleen Charnock, and I am happy to be your child’s teacher this year. I have worked in the Coppell ISD for the last 6 years, and I am excited to be teaching MSI and College Readiness this year at Coppell Middle School North. Experience has taught me that knowing mathematics means being able to use it in purposeful ways. When students construct personal knowledge from meaningful experiences, they are much more likely to retain and use what they have learned. One of my goals this year is to actively engage my students in learning and to promote a positive attitude toward mathematics.

I am looking forward to the new school year and working with your student. It is important that your child is successful in math class this year to ensure success next year. I am dedicated to make that happen. I will be communicating with you throughout the year to inform you of topics we are covering. I encourage you to use the district portal to follow your student’s progress.
