I am a child of the 70's and a middle child. I have always been an avid reader and writer. I am also a foodie. I love to seek out and find new recipes, and I love to cook. I am married to my very best friend and we have been blessed with eight children. They are truly my favorite people in the world! I am an Army Mom, two of my sons are serving our country presently. I graduated from Western Governors University with a Degree in Social Science Education with a minor in English Education. I have been teaching either History or English for my entire 19 year career. I have taught on both the Middle School and High School level and enjoy both groups of students very much! I am a bit of a techie. I love technology and look for as many feasible ways as I can to incorporate it into my teaching and the classroom. My favorite color is red, and my favorite book by far is "Cold Sassy Tree" by Olive Ann Burns. I don't think of teaching as just a job, for me it is a passion and a calling. I can't imagine a life without it. :)
