I have been teaching for 31 years at Blacksburg Middle School. I love my choice of profession. Not everybody can say, "I get to go to school each day." I have also been married for 31 years. My husband and I live in Craig County (2 mountains over and to the right) and I enjoy my 30 minute commute each day. We have one daughter (Tanya) who is married and lives in Florida :( and a beautiful 3 year old granddaughter whom we all cherish. I enjoy writing poetry, drawing, playing music, singing, word games and puzzles and, recently got hooked on sodoku.I guess my real passion is PHOTOGRAPHY. I have my camera always with me and love taking nature shots and a bazillon pictures of my granddaughter. I play and sing in a country band with my brother-in-law and several other members and really enjoy performing in that capacity. I love animals and have three dogs and a cat. Really, she's my husband's cat... hmmm...My parents live in Blacksburg in the same house I grew up in. (The first house in Westover Hills). So I am a Blacksburg native after my first 4 years in Pennsylvania. I look forward to this 32nd year of teaching.
