When I was a youngster, I would have my clipboard & pencil handy while my little brother calmly followed my "teacher's script." Simply put, I have always known that school was for me! As I got older and wanted a career that would make a difference, I looked for something that could have the greatest impact on the lives of many and what better way to fulfill my dreams than to do something that I have always loved - teaching!

This 2012-2013 school year is an especially exciting one as I will be apart of River Oaks Elementary School's inaugural year! I am truly blessed to work with such an exceptional group of people year after year and I look forward to working with the faculty and meeting my new bunch of 3rd graders this year!

Besides teaching, I am a wife and mother of three. We love the outdoors and go fishing, crabbing, and swimming as often as possible! I am also a student! After completing my bachelor's degree in elementary education, I decided to get my master's in computers technology in education. After accomplishing that, I went back to school to get my PhD in administration. I am currently certified in elementary grades and administration and am finishing my dissertation- which should be complete early next year.

I love what I do and look forward to next year, the following year, and the all the years to come!
