Hello my name is Angela Mitchell,
I will be your English teacher this year. I have four children. My oldest son graduated from West Mecklenburg in 2009, so I have a vested interest in this school. I believe that every student can learn, and I am here to help with this process. I hope to equip you with life lessons that will assist you in other classes, as well as in the world. I am a native Charlottean and I had the joy and pleasure of attending West Charlotte High School. I graduated from Johnson C. Smith University and I received my master's degree in secondary education from the University of Phoenix. All of you have a story to tell and I want you to spend this semester learning how to write it down correctly. I have some great units planned for you all this semester and they each will include group projects that will showcase all that you learned while reading your assigned texts. I am excited about the learning opportunity I am offering you and I hope that you will all get on board my educational train.
