Mr. Courtney is the supreme ruler of his backyard and waves less than 5 feet high. He teaches 5th grade at Chollas/Mead Elementary School, but most lessons he kicks it up to 6th or even 7th grade. He is very very picky! He believes that any student in his class has the ability to excel, and he EXPECTS it to happen. He likes long walks to the office for coffee or to raid Mrs. Freel's candy jar. He is very serious about turning assignments in ON TIME, and will only give you the grade you EARN. He can be friendly, but he is not your friend. He is your coach as you make this year a very successful one. He will applaud you when you do well; be your biggest fan. He will also push you along when you fall behind. Do the work, and be friendly and courteous to all, and honor yourself by treating others with the respect they deserve. These are my EXPECTATIONS. Always.
