I teach kindergarten through fourth grade music at Riverton Elementary School. This is my first year at Riverton, but my third year teaching. I previously taught at Ashmore Elementary School, Mark Twain Elementary School, and Jefferson Elementary School in Charleston, Illinois. In Charleston, I taught kindergarten through fourth grade general music and fifth through sixth grade beginning band.

I graduated from Millikin University in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a Vocal Emphasis. At Millikin, I studied voice and French horn and performed with the Millikin Chamber Chorale, Millikin University Choir, OneVoice Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Tudor Voices Early Music Ensemble, Millikin Madrigals, and Wind Ensemble. I student taught at Johns Hill Magnet School in Decatur, Illinois where I worked with kindergarten through eighth grade students and assisted with the award winning middle school show choir, X-Perience.

I am thrilled to be teaching at Riverton Elementary School and look forward to many years of singing, instruments, and fun!
