I have been teaching 6th grade social studies for 4 years now. I really am passionate about my subject matter, mainly because I have had the opportunity to visit many of the countries we will be exploring this year.
Personally, I have a connection with the subject matter as I am married to a Brazilian from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. I am able to bring a human component to the cultural understanding of Latin America.
Additionally, I love to use technology to enhance our experiences as we travel throughout the Western Hemisphere. We will be using the internet for research and some independent assignments.
