About Elizabeth Jones
I'm entering my 39th year of teaching. When folks ask me why don't I retire, I simply say it is because I still enjoy teaching and learning. I have had some truly awesome experiences working in various leadership and professional development capacities for Michigan State University and the Lansing Public School District. Five years ago, I returned to the classroom and I am currently teaching 7th and 8th grade engineering at Lansing STEM Academy. We use a nationally recognized curriculum from Project Lead the Way, Gateway to Technology. I am certified to teach secondary mathematics, which is another area that I am passionate about. As a 2011 Siemens STEM Institute Fellow, I've gained new insights towards integrating online resources and technology into student projects and learning experiences.
