About Ms. Mary Rose O'Shea

I am a proud graduate of Chicago Public Schools and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I also have completed graduate work at Loyola University Chicago and Northeastern Illinois University.

This year will be my 8th year of teaching at Mather High School. I am a National Board Certified teacher in English language arts and am also certified as a reading specialist, grades K-12.

This year I am excited to be teaching English I and AP Literature and Composition. I also coach the Academic Decathlon team and am a sponsor of the Poetry and Philosophy Clubs.
