I am concluding my first year of teaching 4th grade after teaching 5th and 6th grade for the past six years here at Hilltop Drive Elementary School in the Chula Vista Elementary School District. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a Special Education Instructional Assistant and After School Program Site Coordinator in the National School District. I also worked as a Program Leader in the DASH (Dynamic After School Hours) Program in the Chula Vista Elementary School District. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University, where I also recently received my Master's Degree in Reading and Language Arts with a Reading Specialist Credential.

After two very successful year of using Edmodo in my classroom instruction, I am looking forward to further integrating it (and other technology resources) in my classroom to enhance instruction, promote student engagement, and to prepare our students for the 21st century skills that they will need to be successful.
