Welcome seventh graders!

My name is Mrs. Barrett, and I am teaching Language Arts this year. I have three reading sections, and two writing sections. This is my second year to teach at RMS, and I am so excited to get to know each of you. I thought you might like to know a few things about me. My husband and I live in Springfield. We have a baby named Zach and a small fluffy dog named Tylie. We have a Quarter Horse, too, but she lives in Auburn. Some things that I enjoy include running, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

I have a Bachelors in Psychology, but right before I graduated I taught English for a short time in Poland. That's when I knew I wanted to teach. I now have a Masters in Education. I know I will always be in school because I love to learn as much as I love to teach. My goal this year is to help every student achieve at their very best and to feel confident about their skills and abilities. I know that, together, we will have a great year!
