Teaching has been my first love; however, I spent 13 years in the Air Force as a Personnel Officer and Squadron Commander. I have been teaching business subjects in the Cumberland County School System for the past 18 years. I have been married for 30 years to my husband, Franklin, and we have two wonderful boys, ages 26 and 22, Franklin Jr. and Fabian, respectively. Franklin Jr. is a Captain in USAF ( Electrical Engineer) stationed at Maxwell AFB, Montgomery Alabama. Fabian, 2012 Bs. Administration (Marketing Concentration) Major (UNC Charlotte) who is currently working for Google in Chicago, Illinois. I am originally from Currie, NC and my husband is from Fayetteville. My husband is a Math Major Working at Good Year Company.

As a facilitator, my goal is to bring about an educational experience in which students can identify with their educational growth and their need for a future growth as it relates to their mental, physical, social and emotional well being. Each student has different level of cognitive learning ability, so this makes learning personal. I must be a caring and firm teacher. I must use different class building techniques to get to know my students. I firmly believe if your students know that you sincerely care, they will do their best in class and more importantly, they will respect you. As a teacher, I believe I must earn their respect. This means I must maintain high standards of integrity.
