About Ms. Molly Adams

While some birds roost, this bird sings. I teach English 2 and 4 in Longview in a STEM academy with emphasis on project based learning. I am also a TC for the National Writing Project (NSTWP) and an active member of TCTELA. I also am a member of NCTE and Delta Kappa Gamma, and have been nominated to run for the board of TCTELA this year. I have recently been published in the Aug. 2011 edition of the "English in Texas" journal, put out by TCTELA, along with my two partners in teacher crime, Heather Cato (Grapevine/Colleyville ISD) and Amy Rasmussen (Carrollton/FB ISD). You can follow us regarding our thoughts on education at http://threeteacherstalk.wordpress.com , and me on twitter @finchgirl10.

I finished cum laude at Texas Christian University in English and Spanish. I have a Masters in Social Work from University of Texas at Austin and was a licensed masters social worker for a few years before going into teaching, and am currently pursuing a Masters in English at University of Texas at Tyler. No matter where I go, though, I still bleed purple.

This is my 12th year in the trenches and I still love it. Hope we have a great year!
