I am a fifth grade teacher at Discovery Charter Elementary school In Chula Vista, California (right next to San Diego). Our school is a 21st Century, project based school with a STEM focus in the upper grades and a literacy focus in primary. I have a BFA in Graphic Design with a concentration in Illustration from Shepherd university. I received my teaching credential from SDSU, and received my Masters in teaching and learning from PLNU. I have embraced the use of technology on the classroom, and have always looked for new innovative ways to use technology to support student learning. I am Edmodo Certified and Trained, and am an Edmodo Mentor Teacher. I have played competitive volleyball in college and doubles volleyball on the beach for over 22 years. I am also a freelance artist focusing on portraiture and caricatures. I am married and have 2 wonderful boys aged 7 and 10.
