About Mrs. Addison Welp
Addison Welp was born and raised in the small western Kentucky town of Madisonville, where she graduated from Madisonville-North Hopkins High School. She attended Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and French, as well as grades 7-12 teaching certification for both majors. She received her Master's degree in English Education from Northern Kentucky University, and has completed post-graduate studies in educational technology and assessment.
Mrs. Welp began her teaching career at Campbell County High School, teaching English and French and serving as English Department chair. After six years, she decided to change careers and worked in the field of post-secondary educational publishing. Mrs. Welp returned to Campbell County after six years in the publishing industry, teaching French and serving as chair of the Foreign Language Department. In 2006, she moved to Kenton County and began teaching English at Scott High School.
Mrs. Welp has been married 16 years and has three children. In her free time she loves to travel, knit, read, bake, and can fruits and home-grown vegetables. She is actively involved as a lifetime member of Girl Scouts of Kentucky's Wilderness Road Council.
