A NOTE ABOUT THE TEACHER!

Greetings All!

My name is Elizabeth Austin Goodwin and I am thrilled to be teaching Drama and Art this year at Okatie Elementary School . This is my eighth year at Okatie and I am very happy to be here.

I have over 20 years experience as a classroom teacher, administrator, and Montessori educator. I currently hold certificates in both South Carolina and Georgia. I have an undergraduate degree from Wesleyan College in Macon , Georgia and a master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction with and emphasis in Arts in Education from Lesley University . I am a National Board Certified teacher in Early Childhood.

After many years of education and experience, I still believe my best quality is the love I have for both the profession of teaching and the children I teach. My educational philosophy is that every child can suceed and acheive greatness!

I have been honored to dedicate my life to this wonderful and challenging career.
