I am a maths teacher and a mum.
I have been teaching for 10 years and I have been a mum for 6 years.
I teach maths because it is part of everything you do. It is part of and helps to describe the whole universe.
I love puzzles and at the moment my favourite type is the Kakuro, which has taken over from my Sudoku addiction.
I also love the fact that my daughter loves numbers and one of her favourite games is "number questions" - I ask her sums, she answers them. I like to make maths into a game and try and make it fun for people to learn (although my students may disagree with the fun part!)
I also love to help people and I hope that my students feel that they can ask me anything - there is no such thing as a stupid question!!
