My present teaching position is that of teaching technology to all the 5th & 6th grade students in our elementary school. I see 6 classes of 25 students for 50 minutes each during the day. I do have to teach keyboarding skills and use the Writer Learning System with portable keyboards. Almost all of the projects we do are integrated into the main subject areas of Math, Reading, Science and Social Studies. Technology is truly my passion in education and I try to stay up to date on most of the great tools out there for teachers.

I've been in teaching for over 30 years and seen some pretty major changes! I believe I am lucky to be in the position I am. I am able to retire this fall, but know that it is not for me yet. I love learning something new almost everyday and the kids do enjoy my class and all that I try to expose them to.
Of course, I love to work with kids, esp. students between the ages of 10-14.
