As an avid reader and writer, I teach the subject I love. My teaching philosophy is firmly grounded in the belief that all students can learn and succeed in this subject. I believe the ability to use language effectively lays the groundwork for personal, academic, and professional success. I enjoy helping students build upon this groundwork as they develop their writing voice and critical reading skills. Every day, I am awed by the creativity, work ethic, and higher-level thinking my students display in class. My students inspire me!
