I always knew that I wanted to teach. Although every day is not sunshine and daisies, it is interesting and challenging, always in different ways. My students are always saying things that make me laugh, think, self-reflect, and even tear up at times.

I have taught for 6 years at FVHS. I teach levels 1-4 of Spanish and also coach JV Volleyball, work at other sporting events, and am the Department Chair for the Second Language department.

I graduated from NC State in 2007, and earned my Master's in Spanish Education from NCSU in 2010. I was also fortunate enough to earn my National Board Certification in 2010.

I have two cats (Smokes and Ella), my husband is an Assistant Principal at Holly Ridge MS, and I love sports, TV, and being with friends.
