Hi, Thank you for taking the time to wonder about me and my background! I am a big fan of social networking and teaching children to become accomplished communicators on and off-line. I believe that innovation and change develop through relationships. As a teacher I want students to realize the benefits of sharing ideas and collaborating to build more than they dreamed possible, together.

I have been experimenting with edmodo for several years and using it in class and as a PD tool. I wrote a chapter about edmodo for an ISTE publication that will be released in the summer of '13. I teach 5th Grade Reading, Language Arts, Writing and Science. I work with Tamara Moor a wonderful friend and fellow teacher. I am most inspired by her dedication to building relationships with her students.

I have a pet project, http://www.lionheartedlearners.org my friendship with Director/Headmistress Florence Namata in Uganda has helped me to incorporate a richer world view into my classroom. I recently earned my EdS and am pursuing my EdD at Kennesaw State University.
