I am an English teacher and journalism adviser at Kinston High School. My newspaper staff has earned All-North Carolina recognition each of the last two years for our publication, The Viking Press, and the coveted Tar Heel Award each of the last two years for our website, thevikingpress.com.

I am very fortunate to have three classes full of students who want to learn and do well.

I coach women's tennis and softball.

I also play a lot of video games. They're fun.
