About Ms. Kiesha Arceneaux
I currently teach 6th grade Advanced ELA at Sherwood Middle Academic Magnet School and in 2012-2013 I will add Computer Literacy to that list. I aspire to be a catalyst of change in my communities. I love to keep my fingers at the pulse of innovative educational technology integration and always try to incorporate 21st century skills into my classes. I earned a B.S. in Secondary Education with a minor in English Literature from Louisiana State University and am looking forward to pursuing a Master's Degree in Educational Technology Leadership soon. I recently completed the process of applying for national certification and am anxiously waiting for my scores in November. I love attending and presenting at a variety of education conferences including ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education), LACUE (Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators), as well as several district-level conferences and in-house professional developments. I serve on my school's Professional Development Team, Technology Management Team, and as a coach for a teachers network group designed to support new teachers. Most importantly, I truly love my students and endeavor to be the best teacher I can be. I believe in the invaluable benefit to student success the partnership between guardians and teachers results in. They need both of us so get connected! karceneaux@ebrschools.org
